The Heads Up What Am I Reading Thursday???

The Witch's Hand by Wendy Joseph
I've got several books lined up for the following weeks. Sadly I'm behind on the first one. This one is by someone in my weekly group the Author's Oven. I was really over the moon the find out that one of the ladies in the group actually published her book and had copies in her car to give away.  On the condition that I do a review, she gave me one. I like the book a lot and I would nothing more than to get the book out to you all on time.

Sadly I have to do some serous job hunting at the same time so I'm going to get this out on Thursday instead of Wednesday. Sad Face. I'm really excited to tell you about it though.

The book for next two weeks are here and ready to go as well as the one E-Book I've received.

I really wish I had more but You can't win them all.

So look back on Thursday for my latest book review and check later tonight for the Photo Prompt for this Friday's Fictioneeer Blog Hop.

Have a great Tuesday.

How I kill time working.

I've been getting the same question a lot lately: If you can't write anything right now, then what are you doing while you're working the phone?

You're not going to believe this. I crochet hats, lots of them.  I've made seven of them in the last month. the most of them in the last two weeks. Depending oh how long I'm logged on I bang out one from start to finish. I mean I could clean my house, or bake cookies or something else  while I work since I can't write, but this is productive, to an extent.
This one is my favorite
Occupy Couch's Favorite

Looks like a fiery Jelly Fish
So now that I have engaged my Susie Homemaker I need to figure out what to do with all the hats I'm making. My buddy who's doing the  "Occupy Movement" (occupy my couch) says I should sell them. Now there's a novel idea.  So here are my hats if you want one they are $9 + shipping.

And yes you'd be supporting my  latest nervous tick. You could look at it this way; my house would be less cluttered if you took these babies off my hands. Think of them as things that can be gifted and re gifted at Christmas. If you're interested leave me a comment and I'll figure out a way to get one to you.

Another way I like to think of this, is that I have an outlet for my stunted creativity. That I can't write does not stop the need to make something, I'm sure that when I get out my funk I'll drop this hat none-sense and get down to serious business.

For now the yarn sustains me.

Good news is that I have found a new angle in Chapter six that I want to explore. I'm convinced that creating a little insubordination might move the story along. I'm going to use one of the minor characters. In fact the character was so minor that I forgot that he existed. I had to check an earlier chapter to make sure I had one to spare. He was in the first chapter too. I am a mess.

I hope this gets me past this hump.

Political Science: The Drop. Sad Face...

Well guys I'm going to have to admit defeat on this here. I clearly was not ready to take on the extra pressure of taking Political Science. I really want to say because it was hard, but that's not the reason.

Let's be honest folks I hate leaving my home. I hate leaving my home so much that I haven't been back to the VA to pick up the meds I so desperately need to be on.  I hate leaving my home so much that I haven't been t Volleyball, even though I love to play it. Nor have I been out since I went to the concert two weeks ago. I just outright hate it. Walking Chewy is my only willing break.

If I was lazy about Poly Sci I would not feel so bad. If I had money to burn I would not feel bad. If I already had my degree I would definitely not feel bad. But none of those thing are a factor. Fear and the sense of being over whelmed have gotten the best of me.

So the new plan is: Get more proficient at this hustle. Manage my time a lot better. Train the dog. Reestablish contact with the VA so I can get back on my meds. Begin to be a functional human being again.

I admit that I'm not playing with a full deck. I realized this about a month ago and continued to put it off. It's kind of part of my sickness: to pretend that I'm okay. Really I'm not okay. And truth be told I haven't been able to write anything good since the meds wore off.

I've said it before. It sucks to know that I'll be on medicine for the rest of my life just to function. I should be okay with this since I have been taking medication for Migraines since I was 8. My pride has been injured most because it's not just Migraine medication anymore, and it's not just pills. It's AA, it's therapy, it's everything I abhor just because I can't be left alone. And the less I take care of these things, the further away from my goals I move.

Political Science was a fun and engaging class. My teacher clearly had enthusiasm for his topics every day. I wanted to be there. I wanted to write the papers if only to better my language skills. I just seemed to stay right on the outside of ready for this kind of pressure. Before I freak out and call this a failure, get all emotional and start thinking negative, I need to step back and examine why.

I've done that to the best of my abilities and I came to the conclusion that I can't in all fairness do right by myself with this class unless I handle the immediate needs first. Improve my financial situation, get back on my medications, train the dog because the alternative is killing the little guy and establish a better routine so my plan of attack isn't rushed unorganized and holy.

I think I should make this a list.

UUUUmmmmm SOOO Gooood, yeah

I'm on the brink of something people. The last days of the Navy are coming and coming fast. I've almost secured the apartment I want in San Diego, I'm pretty sure I'll get there just in time to start school this semester and I just finished Chapter 4. Life could not possibly get better.

Oh yes it can...

What's missing from this idyllic situation is a job. So I took a little time out of life to look and I have found it people. You may now call me Girl 6. My name is Lovely, Lovely Number 6. You guessed it, I have joined the many mom's of America who moonlight as phone sex operators.

Truth be told I've done this before. Like ten years ago when I lived in Florida. It was a great job except for the fact that I never left my house. I think that was such an eye opener for me, not the never leaving my house, no I'm talking about learning other people's kink.

I'm not name calling on this one but I want to. Only out of respect for the industry will I not poke fun. However, comma, I will say that people are truly special in their own unique way. Once you figure that out you sort of forget that on the opposite end of the call is someone in some state of undress.

How do you figure that out? Well in this business, the customer will tell you, in freakishly vivid detail. This isn't a people get a dog moment though. Most of the folks that call these lines are in secure relationships. To them this is safer than going out and actually straying from the bond they have with their significant others.

Like every person, a fantasy is just as unique. The goal of a phone sex operator, is to give voice to that fantasy while simultaneously keeping the caller engaged for as long as possible. It's actually harder than you think. Especially of the caller was already half-cocked before he dialed. Half-cocked, get it, t-hee hee hee.

Seriously though, I will say that some of my best callers were the ones that just want to talk. Something about telling a complete stranger everything on your mind without regret. It's like going to confession without saying the ten Hail Mary's after. That and it's not like you can really tell anyone what they said. No one would believe you.

I like talkers, if they don't have some deep dark confession, they tend to actually want to please you. They know you're at work, but they still insist on making you enjoy the moment. I find that a huge turn on. Call me weird but it's the truth. Two of the most sexiest things in the world to me are: men who want your pleasure and men who show affection to babies in public.

DISCLAIMER: I hate kids. I just like watching men being tender. It's sooo, sooo incredibly arousing to see a big strong male being gentle and openly loving to little one....

Back on topic. So the plan is to incorporate some form of income into the equation but not end up sacrificing too much of my time. I give myself 25 hours a week and 25 hours only. I could knock that out in three days. I feel like such a stripper. I'm just doing this to put myself through college.

So the next time your pervy cousin tells you he's met this super hot chick with some exotic name, chances are, he's talking about me.
